World youth and sustainable development (2012)

The first Earth Summit was held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 1992. It raised the issue of climate change. Twenty years on, the same city hosted the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development between 20 and 22 June (named Rio+20 for that reason). This conference ended in consensus on adopting the text: “The Future We Want”.

Against this backdrop, the Fondation pour l’innovation decided to design and conduct the first global survey on youth and sustainable development in partnership with Nomadéis and the UN. Entitled ScenaRio2012, this is an innovative contribution to the Rio+20 conference, revealing the views of young people around the world on sustainable development.

The results of this survey were presented in Rio as part of the Earth Summit.
